As I walked into Baby P's beautiful home nestled high above the town of Desert Hills I was awe struck at how Amazing it was! The attention to detail was evident thru-out this home...there was not one tiny detail that wasn't thought out by this home's builder! Of course that Builder was this gorgeous little girls daddy!
I was so honored to be asked by this family to capture there newest little addition that arrived just 2 short months ago! However, this wasn't the first time I had the pleasure of meeting this little bag of sugar sweetness! We tried to capture some images of her about 3 weeks ago...although at that time she decided she wasn't ready to have her moment with me or my camera. But on this day whey I arrived she was all wrapped up in a moss green blanket and swinging contently in her swing with sweet music playing from the mobile above her little head. She was dressed in a light pink romper and as I stood there taking in all 8 lbs of her I couldn't believe how much she had changed in just 3 short weeks. Her little cheeks had filled out so much and she weighed at least 5 lbs more than the last time I had seen her. Her little skin had cleared up and she no longer looked like the helpless newborn. Standing just a few feet from her was her "Big" sister smiling proudly... she was also dressed in what looked to be her "Sunday" best. She was so excited to hold her baby sister and to have family pictures taken with her. As I picked baby "P" up from her temporary bed, she shifted her weight in my arms and fell contently back asleep in my secure and loving arms. I hardly wanted to give her up for any reason even if it was to place her gently into her "Big" sisters awaiting arms. Her smile got even bigger as her baby sister was placed in her loving arms, she looked down at her adoringly and couldn't help but kiss her on the cheek. She stared down at her as if to take in every detail of this sleeping Angel, I almost felt guilty as my camera snapped away. I felt like such an intrusion, in this delicate moment that was passing between these two. But isn't that why I was hired...to capture the emotion that was felt by the arrival of this little girl into this family.. .?
This photos shoot was not the posed sessions that I am used to for Newborn shoots, it was more relaxed! I enjoyed it, and as I look back thru these photos I am reminded of this precious family and all of the love that filled this home that Sunday afternoon!
Here are just a few of my favorite photos from our session! I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
My Beautiful Jayden
This is my beautiful daughter Jayden, she has "one" pose and "two" facial" expressions! But I will take them because she is so dang cute!
It is getting so warm out and I am getting so anxious to start my spring shoots! So tonight despite the 5 Rottweilers and 2 Pitbulls that came charging at us while I ventured into an abandoned shack, the tree that I climbed under to take pictures of cows that tried to tear open my backside and ripped a hole in my new vintage shirt, and the crazy psycho that tried to put his fist thru the back window of my car because he thought I stole his gas (he told the gas attendant the wrong pump #, and he put the gas on my pump...$6.50 mind you...) this was all while I just put my credit card in and thought it had been authorized. I just assumed I didn't have any more than $6.50 in my account and I drove off. .. we had a nice evening together!
Here are just a few of my favorite shots that made up the Incredible part of my night!
Matties Bridal Shower
The count down is on for this bride-to-be, but this past weekend she got to celebrate and enjoy this fun day with her closest friends and family!
The party began with a decadent spread of food across the entire kitchen, with all gathered around in idle chit chat. As I looked around and took in all of the sites and sounds of this wonderful group of woman who had gathered in celebration for Mattie I couldn't help but think of the first time that I met this grown woman.
She was 5 years old when I first me her, she was shy but yet had such a quiet confidence about her. She had long light brown hair that was pulled back in a pony tail and secured with ribbons. As my oldest daughter discovered a new friend I also discovered a wonderful new friendship myself with her mom. Thru Brownie meetings, field trips and class parties I really got to know this beautiful child. Over the last 16 years Mattie has saved numerous quails that my children have found orphaned in the desert, volunteered at a Wild Animal Rescue Center...she has basically grown up right before my eyes.
I am so honored that Mattie and Zac wanted me to be a part of their wedding journey! I love them both and I am secretly jealous of the bond they have together...seriously they are going to be the old couple in the park, holding hands on a walk and stealing kisses while young married couples only can hold out a small inkling of hope for the same kind of love when they are in their 80's. As I watched them interact together during our Engagement Session I truly believed that Zac is Matties Soal Mate.
I can't wait for April 2nd when these two pledge their love to eachother...the day is going to be beautiful and I can't wait to celebrate with them! So until then enjoy some photos that I captured at her Bridal Shower!
These two twins just melt my heart...they wanted to have a Western Themed Birthday Party so we found this amazing location not far from my house. The homeowner built this amazing Western Themed Fortress in front of his house. I honestly just wanted to build a fire, tie up my horse and roast some marshmallows! I want to build a Western Set just like this in front of my own house...how cool would that be!!!
Now don't you agree these are some pretty amazing kids!
MY BEAUTY CAMPAIGN
Starring Audra T
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Miss Audra last year thru a mutual friend of ours. She is the Co-President of FIDM/PHX Alumni Chapter and she had invited our mutual friend to a Baseball game for an Alumni gathering which I had the pleasure of attending as a guest. I remember her amazing smile and how it lit up the room, her quiet confidence took me by surprise as well! I was naturally drawn to her and hoped that we would become friends. Of course I thought she was beautiful and I was totally in awe of her that she got to work with the Arizona DBacks.
Part of the "My Beauty Campaign" journey involves a little soul searching and laying your insecurities down on the table before facing the camera. Another piece of this journey includes involving a loved one as a participant in their journey. Sometimes what others see in us, is not always how we perceive ourselves. Seeing yourself thru the eyes of your loved ones can sometimes be a very eye opening experience...in Audra's case her loved one was her best friend Lindsay.
This is what Lindsay had to say about Audra...
-What makes Audra T Beautiful?-
"She holds a high amount of confidence...She's always wanting to learn more...She gets involved...Won't let other's opinions get her down."
"She treats everyone equally and puts her foot down when she needs too. But most of all, she is the best Godmomma to my puppy, Bobby!"
Audra is Beautiful because she is one of the most kindest, thoughtful and understanding person I know.
"She is very much like an onion - she comes in layers and you have to allow her to bloom in her own time. She doesn't trust right off the bat, but if you are patient, honest and trusting - she will be the same to you, and give you the utmost loyalty."
Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart - Kahlil Gibran
I asked Audra to list out 5 reasons why she thought she was beautiful after our photo shoot, here is was she told me...
1) I am not afraid to speak my mind!
2) I am Beautiful because of my Tattoos!
3) I am Beautiful because as my bff says "I am like an onion, I come in layers & bloom in my own timing!"
4) I am Beautiful because I am surrounded by beautiful things, friends and family!
5) I am beautiful because God made me this way!
Audra- I had so much fun on this discovery with you! You are so beautiful in so many ways, I could not just narrow it down to 5 things! But what I find so beautiful about you is your ability to make me feel so happy when I am around you! Your light shines so brightly in the presence of others...I am a better person for getting to know you!!!
If you or someone that you know would enjoy discovering there own beauty please contact me today to start your very own "My Beauty Campaign!"
My little Mattie is all grown up and is now engaged, okay well she technically isn't "MY" little Mattie but I have known her since she was 5 years old. This beautiful young woman and my oldest daughter started out in kindergarten together which is how I met and grew to love her! So when it came time for her to pledge her love to her forever partner in this lifetime, I was honored that she chose me to be their photographer.
My heart was so full of joy as I watched these two interact together...I honestly believe that Zac is Mattie's joy! He could make her laugh at the drop of a hat and her smile only got bigger and brighter as we spent more time together! Everytime Zac looked at Mattie is eyes just sparkled, I could tell she would be the light of his life for the rest of his days!
We had so much fun planning this Engagement Session...Mattie and Zack love all things Vintage! We shopped at Antique Malls, thrift stores and garage sales just to find the perfect treasures. Mattie even brought some of her dishes from home that she loves. I didn't feel they were "really" vintage as they were the same dishes my mom had when I was growing up...and I am pretty sure that no one except maybe my grandson is allowed to call me "old" I mean "Vintage!"
Thank you Mattie and Zack for letting me be part of your special day! I loved every minute of it!
I AM BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE...
I am Strong.
I know in what direction my future is headed.
I am a daughter that is Loved.
I love my Heavenly Father.
I know that I am loved and that I love so passionately.
I loved the journey of My Beauty Campaign, this was a hard journey for me as I am always so critical of myself. Taking time out of my day just to think about me is not something I do on a regular basis!
Getting my hair and makeup done and saving up to purchase a few new outfits made this journey extra special for me. My Photographer put me at ease the second we started this journey together. She made me feel beautiful inside and out, she made me feel loved and secure. The session just wasn't about taking my picture, along the way we stopped and talked about my insecurities and the road blocks I have been carrying with me for while. We talked about my journey and all the wonderful blessings that make me me special.
I will hold this day close to my heart and will treasure my images always!
Thank you so much
You may not be her first, her last, or her only.
She loved before she may love again.
But if she loves you now, what else matters?
She’s not perfect – you aren’t either, and the
two of you may never be perfect together
but if she can make you laugh, cause you to
think twice, and admit to being human and
making mistakes, hold onto her and give
her the most you can. She may not be
thinking about you every second of the day,
but she will give you a part of her that she
knows you can break – her heart. So don’t
hurt her, don’t change her, don’t analyze and
don’t expect more than she can give.
Smile when she makes you happy, let her
know when she makes you mad, and miss her
when she’s not there.
"Every Woman Can and Should have a
Beautiful Photo of Herself!"
I would like to formally introduce you to My Beauty Campaign. The campaign combines a new brand of photography and improves a woman’s self esteem and body image. Beauty Sessions are so much more than just a photo shoot… it is a journey. Beauty sessions can help a woman rediscover her true beauty, AND she has amazing photos to prove it.
“Every single woman,” “even if people think she’s gorgeous, struggles with the way she looks.” Women spend a lot of time wishing that they could fix something that wasn’t ever broken to begin with.
- Mandi Nutall
My Beauty Campaign isn’t about making women look younger, or glamming them up. It’s about taking a photo that demonstrates why nothing of the sort is necessary in the first place.
It is so easy for a woman to point out all of her faults that sometimes she can forget who she really is. This campaign is designed to give the client self-discovering homework before the session to get her insecurities out on the table so she can put them behind her.
After some guilt-free shopping, she then can take time to get pampered and actually spend some long overdue quality time on herself! The main focus of the session is not on the way she physically looks, but on what makes her beautiful.
This Campaign is literally sweeping the world not only to photographers, but to all woman. Woman are learning to love who they are right now; Not in 10 years, or 50lbs lighter…right now! And you can be a part of it!
"I had such an incredible experience working with Tiffany and watching the joy on her face as she looked at her session images."
I have never felt such a sense of fulfillment as I do when I get to help a woman through this process and then ultimately show her photos to her. There is so much positive emotion involved throughout her journey, and it really is beautiful.
